COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The USA Boxing national championships are returning to Colorado Springs this summer after a one-year stay in Denver.

The nation’s premier amateur boxing tournament is scheduled for July 12-17 and will feature more than 200 of the nation’s top Olympic-style boxers in both male and female divisions.

Among those expected to compete is Rau’shee Warren of Cincinnati, who is attempting to become the first U.S. boxer to compete in three Olympics.

The Pikes Peak region has played host to the tournament in 20 of the last 22 years with the only exceptions being Denver last summer and Las Vegas in 2002.
