Donald Cerrone used to catch his shuteye in a room atop Greg Jackson’s martial arts school in New Mexico. Nebraska-Omaha came into the 2010 D-II Championships as the heavy favorites after taking home the D-II crown in convincing fashion in 2009 and then dominating its schedule through 2010. The Mavs didn’t disappoint.
On its own campus, UNO amassed 131 total points over the two-day Championships, far out-pacing (and almost doubling) second-place Augustana (SD) for the Mavericks’ second straight national championship.
